4. Stand-by function !!! (None of the Chinese EMF chip has this function). Without this function, the chip discharges the battery, even if the camera is turned off.

What aperture will be displayed on the camera
The camera shows that the diaphragm, which is programmed in the dandelion. This diaphragm is fixed and does not change during the shooting !!!
Exposure is calculated according to the actual luminous flux after you close the lens aperture to the desired value at the time of shooting. It does not matter what aperture programmed dandelion. Extract all the same to count correctly.
ETTL works similarly. Just put the flash and shoot. Flash energy is calculated automatically.
Are firmware affect the accuracy and regimes?

Does not affect. The dandelion can be sewn F1.0 / 12mm and use, for example, with Samyang 500 mm .. However, modern ETTL flash will try to uncover the reflector in accordance with the sewn in dandelion focal length. In this case, you need to convert flash to manually enter the zoom mode.
The focus sensor in cameras Canon does not respond to diaphragms that are pre-programmed to chip further than 5.6. Therefore, I pre-program in the chip for such lenses aperture: 2; or 2.8; or 4.0; or 5.6.

A new series of Dandelions for digital and film cameras Canon EOS.
Since the autumn of 2008 an updated Dandelion is being produced. The case is made of specially hard plastic, for better slip. And the contact areas are covered with a solid layer of gold.
The new series received an important function – the programming function. Those. you can independently change the “stitched” in the Dandelion value of the aperture and focal length. And also the most important adjustment function, which allows you to cope with the problems of accuracy of confirmation of focus.
The new Dandelion does not use the MF mode, as it was before. Now the focus logic works in AF (autofocus) mode. First, it increases the accuracy of focusing. Secondly, it allows you to adjust the Dandelion to different instances of lenses. Third – the audio confirmation now works on all cameras. For example, on a film EOS 3000N. The sensitivity of the focus sensors in this mode is an order of magnitude higher.
There was also one more feature – “hard” locking of the descent to the confirmation signal. If you hold the shutter button all the way down, the picture will be taken instantly at the exact focus signal. This allows you to shoot dynamic stories.
And of course the main advantage of the new series is the ability to change the parameters of the Dandelion independently, without removing it from the camera.
